Effective September 18, 2026. Applies to the BeautyCall Client and BeautyCall Pro apps.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the BeautyCall Client and BeautyCall Pro apps and the marketplace they connect to (together, "BeautyCall," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using either app, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy (https://api.beautycall.services/legal/privacy-policy/view), which is incorporated by reference. If you don't agree, please don't use BeautyCall.
"BeautyCall" is the operating name under which this service is currently run. Some future version of these Terms may name a specific registered legal entity once one is formed; until then, the contact details in Section 15 are how to reach us.
If you are booking or providing services as a business (for example, a salon dispatching more than one Pro), you're responsible for making sure everyone who uses your account on BeautyCall has agreed to these Terms.
You must be at least 18 years old to create a BeautyCall account. You confirm this in the app when you accept these Terms; we don't currently collect a date of birth or verify age through a document, so this confirmation is your representation to us that it's true.
You're responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account (your name, phone number, and, for Pros, license and professional details) and for keeping your device and account secure. Your phone number is your sign-in identifier and is verified by a one-time SMS code at every sign-in; you're responsible for activity on your account under that number.
BeautyCall Pro accounts are a separate registration from BeautyCall Client accounts and carry additional requirements described in Section 8.
BeautyCall connects clients with Pros for beauty services delivered to a location the client chooses: home, hotel, office, assisted-living facility, event, or a Pro's mobile service vehicle. We provide the app, matching, scheduling, and payment infrastructure that make that connection possible.
BeautyCall is not a beauty services provider, a staffing agency, or an employer of Pros. Pros are independent, licensed professionals who set their own availability and decide which bookings to accept, and who separately sign a Contractor Agreement with BeautyCall governing that relationship. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, agency, partnership, or joint-venture relationship between BeautyCall and any Pro or client.
Because BeautyCall facilitates a marketplace rather than performing services itself, the actual service (its quality, timing, and outcome) is the Pro's responsibility. See Section 11 for how this affects liability.
When you book an appointment, you're agreeing to be available at the location and time you selected, and the Pro is agreeing to perform the requested service there. Either side can request changes through the app, but a confirmed booking is only rescheduled or cancelled once both the app and, where relevant, the other party reflect that change.
If a client needs to cancel, the following schedule applies to the service price of the booking:
These fees compensate the Pro for reserved time and are paid out to them; BeautyCall's commission (Section 5) still applies to the amount charged. A Pro who needs to cancel should do so as early as possible through the app; repeated late cancellations by a Pro may affect their standing on the platform under the Contractor Agreement.
All payments on BeautyCall are processed by Stripe. BeautyCall is the merchant of record on client charges: your payment method is charged by BeautyCall for the full price of a booking (service price plus any applicable sales tax), and BeautyCall then transfers the Pro's share to their connected Stripe account. Stripe collects and stores your payment details directly; see our Privacy Policy for how that works.
BeautyCall's commission is 20% of the service price on a booking. This commission applies only to the service line. It is never taken from a tip, and 100% of any tip a client adds goes to the Pro. Sales tax is calculated based on the region where the service is performed and is passed through to the applicable tax authority; it is not part of BeautyCall's commission and is not itself discounted or commissioned.
When a discount or promotional code is applied to a booking, BeautyCall's commission is calculated on the service's full list price, not the discounted amount actually charged. This holds whether the discount is absorbed by BeautyCall or by the Pro running the promotion. Where a Pro or salon offers a service at no charge or at a reduced comp rate to a client, BeautyCall's commission is still calculated against the list price of that service.
Pro payouts are released 48 hours after an appointment is marked complete, rather than immediately, so that a refund (Section 6) can be processed before funds fully leave the payment system. This hold period is a standard part of how every booking is paid out, not a sign of any issue with a particular Pro or booking.
If you believe a charge was made in error, or a service wasn't performed as booked, contact us at the address in Section 15 as soon as possible so we can look into it. Refunds, when issued, are applied to the service portion of a payment; sales tax and any tip included in the same payment are not refunded through this process, since tax is remitted to the applicable authority and tips belong to the Pro.
Refund requests are reviewed case by case. Issuing a refund does not automatically reverse the cancellation or no-show fees described in Section 4, which reflect time the Pro had already reserved.
BeautyCall lets an account holder add a dependent (a child, an aging parent, or anyone else needing assistance) and book and pay for services on that person's behalf. By adding a dependent, you represent that you are that person's parent, legal guardian, or another authorized caregiver, and that you're arranging and paying for their BeautyCall appointments in that capacity.
You're responsible for the accuracy of a dependent's profile information and for being reasonably available at the appointment (in person or by phone) if the Pro needs to reach the responsible adult during a booking. These Terms, and the policies in Sections 4 through 6, apply to bookings made for a dependent in the same way they apply to bookings made for yourself.
Pros must hold a valid, current professional license appropriate to the services they offer, and must submit their license number, issuing state, license type, and a photo of the license document as part of onboarding. BeautyCall reviews this information as a condition of approving a Pro to accept bookings, and reserves the right to verify it with the relevant state licensing board at any time. That said, holding a valid license at all times is the Pro's own ongoing responsibility, not a guarantee BeautyCall makes to clients about any individual Pro.
Pros agree to perform services safely, professionally, and in accordance with applicable law and the standards of their license, and to carry any insurance required by their license or by their separate Contractor Agreement with BeautyCall. Clients agree to provide a safe, reasonably accessible space for a house call or mobile-vehicle appointment, and to treat Pros with the same respect and safety consideration they'd expect in return.
We may investigate reports of any of the above and take action ranging from a warning to account suspension or termination (Section 12), depending on severity.
Clients and Pros may submit reviews, photos, and profile content through the apps. You're responsible for what you submit, and you represent that you have the right to share it and that it's honest and based on an actual BeautyCall booking. We may remove content that violates these Terms or that we determine, in good faith, is abusive, fraudulent, or unsafe.
Portfolio and cover photos a Pro uploads remain theirs, but by uploading them you grant BeautyCall a license to display them within the app to prospective clients for as long as your profile is active.
BeautyCall provides the marketplace "as is." We don't perform beauty services ourselves, and, beyond the license review described in Section 8, we don't guarantee the quality, safety, or outcome of any service a Pro performs, or the conduct of any client or Pro. Any dispute about how a specific service was performed is primarily between the client and the Pro who performed it.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BeautyCall isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the apps or a booking made through them, and our total liability for any claim relating to BeautyCall is limited to the amount of BeautyCall's commission on the booking giving rise to the claim. Nothing in this section limits liability that can't be limited under applicable law, such as liability for our own gross negligence or willful misconduct.
You can stop using BeautyCall and close your account at any time by contacting us at the address in Section 15. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, poses a safety risk, or is required to be removed by law, with notice where reasonably practical. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination, including Sections 5, 6, 11, and 13, continue to apply after your account is closed.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, since BeautyCall currently operates out of and launched in Utah. Any dispute that isn't resolved informally through the contact in Section 15 will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Washington County, Utah, and you consent to that venue.
We may update these Terms as BeautyCall's features and policies change. If we make a material change, we'll update the effective date above and prompt you to review and re-accept the new version in the app before it takes effect. Your existing consent doesn't carry over to a materially changed version.
Questions about these Terms, a booking, or a Contractor Agreement?
These Terms are written to describe BeautyCall's actual marketplace rules and policies as of the effective date above. If anything here stops matching how the app works, contact us. We'd rather fix the app or these Terms than leave a mismatch standing.
